A sense of disgust overwhelms me as I read the article. I feel that their actions are wrong. Just so as to fulfill their desire, the self-centered people caused the animals’ wrath. If they were more considerate and had thought ahead in the sense that these animals are endangered species and by donating them to the zoo, they can contribute greatly to the society. When the animals are donated, zoologist can get to study them and provide information that is previously unknown. But by hugging onto to them, what they are doing is just displaying their selfishness. I think there should be measures taken to make certain that endangered species does not fall into the hands of ordinary folks, but are brought to the zoo. There, the animals will be well-taken care of and will not be subjected to torture. In addition, the self-seeking people should be heavily punished in order to serve as a reminder to all that if they try to keep endangered pets in their homes, their outcome would be similar to the selfish ones.

if keeping of exotic animals (in your opinion) is selfish and wrong...how right is it to have tests and studies on them? it's still experimenting went life, which, i suppose, is not something you would like down to you.

endangered species...is it better to leave them in the wild? or in the zoo? making sure that ordinary folks dont get their hands on them does not mean removing them from their habitat. moreover, being endangered means they are close to extinction, holding them captive restrict the birth rates more. hence people would have to think of more ways to make them reproduce. (eg. recent introduction of panda porn to pandas to encourage sexual intercourse) how artificial would the lives of the animals be and would they be able to live in the wild after being held captive?
