Healthy eating program helps slim school kids

I feel that it is very meaningful for the school cafeteria to agree to this activity which prevented the children from gaining too much weight.

The healthy lifestyle as introduced in the community is, in my view one that should be implemented in Singapore as well. In school canteen, even though the school tries to enforce healthy food, there is no way the vendors can totally erase the fried food from their menu as fried food is favored by most children and teenagers, most probably of the crunch present in it. To prevent the loss in customers and loss in income, producers would then continue to sell the fried food discreetly. This would then not promote healthy living. Therefore, what I suggest is that there be an adaptation of the system in which children and teenagers gets to choose the chow they prefer. Then the cafeteria can change their menu as according to the selected fare and ensure that the cooking method used is healthy. In that sense, children and teenagers will be able to lead a better and much healthier way of life.

Thus, the system should be put into effect in Singapore.
